By the end of this project, you will be able to create a simple point of sale POS app with the basic functionalities that any supermarket needs to establish their cashier systems, You’ll be able to multiply the items by their corresponding prices, add them all together and finally, show the total payment. Moreover, You will be able to create classes, objects, methods that we will use to build the structure of the app, you will also be able to use loops and import important libraries. This project is meant to cover the most common data types and gives an overview about the object oriented programming (OOP) in Java with its main concepts such as inheritance and abstraction. Note: This project works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions.

By the end of Task 1, you will be able to start a new Java project and write a hello world program in Eclipse
By the end of Task 2, you will be able to create a class, an object and extend a class from a super one in Java.
By the end of Task 3, you will be able to import utilities from Java libraries and take inputs from users.
By the end of Task 4, you will be able to create a large main method grouping all the classes and objects you created before to reach our final application.
By the end of Task 5, you will be able to use loops and process the inputs you already have to reach the results and print them in the console.
