I have completed three courses on mindfulness and well-being, and I have learned a lot from them.

The first course, Mindfulness, and Well-Being: Foundations, taught me about the concept of mindfulness and its benefits for mental and physical health. I learned the basics of mindfulness practice, including paying attention to my breath, body sensations, and thoughts. The course also taught me how mindfulness can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. I gained knowledge about the importance of self-compassion and gratitude for enhancing overall well-being.

In the second course, Mindfulness and Well-Being: Living with Balance and Ease, I learned new techniques and practices to cultivate greater balance and ease in life. Mindful movement practices such as yoga and walking meditation were introduced to help reduce physical tension and increase body awareness. Additionally, I learned about the importance of mindfulness in improving relationships with others and reducing conflicts.

The third course, Mindfulness and Well-Being: Peace In, Peace Out, focused on cultivating inner peace and compassion towards myself and others. I learned about the concept of loving-kindness meditation and how it can help cultivate positive emotions such as love, compassion, and kindness. The course also emphasized the importance of forgiveness in letting go of past hurts and developing greater compassion towards oneself and others.

Overall, these courses have provided me with valuable skills to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. Through mindfulness practice, I have developed greater self-awareness, learned to cultivate positive emotions, reduced stress, and anxiety, and fostered better relationships with others. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from these courses and look forward to incorporating these practices into my daily life.

Most of this course was spot on just like the other two courses in the specialization. But for this one, I was quite surprised to see the instructor's social causes as part of the curriculum including being a tested item. The topic was presented as a statement of fact with no evidence offered. For a class that's meant to teach balance and respect for all views and all people, it might be good to steer clear of these type of topics. Otherwise you'll risk not reaching a section of your audience in the way hoped for. Also, the topic was presented from a purely US lens. During my peer grading I noticed several students were from other countries.

I enjoyed and got a lot out of these courses (series of three). The instructer is very knowledgable, however, the lack of feedback is not helpful to any student. If an instructor is going to give a faling grade on an assignment, they should say why. It is not useful to fail a student with no explanation. It is for this reason, that I am unable to finish this course, and I am reluctant to take another course on-line.

The most valuable thing I learned in this course is how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life and be persistent in practicing it. I enjoyed the task and especially the interviews with mindfulness practitioners.  I learned so much in this course and most importantly I learned how to develop my skills future.
