• When will I have access to the lectures and assignments?

  Access to lectures and assignments depends on your type of enrollment. If you take a course in audit mode, you will be able to see most course materials for free. To access graded assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience, during or after your audit. If you don't see the audit option:

  • The course may not offer an audit option. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid.

  • The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead. This option lets you see all course materials, submit required assessments, and get a final grade. This also means that you will not be able to purchase a Certificate experience.

• Does this course satisfy the Michigan state legislation requirement for concussion education?

  Yes! By completing this educational course on sport-related concussion and obtaining 100% on the quiz, you have satisfied the state law requirements for concussion education.

• Is this certificate free?

  Yes, there is no cost in obtaining the Michigan Sport-Related Concussion Training Certification. This is a free learning experience.

• How do I get my certificate?

  By completing this educational course on sport-related concussion and obtaining 100% on the quiz, you have satisfied the state law requirements for concussion education. After you pass the quiz, you will be prompted to enter your name and email. After you enter this information, an auto-generated certificate will be created for you. We will also send a copy of the certificate to the email you provide. Please print or save this document for your records.

• Will I still receive my Michigan Sport-Related Concussion Training Certificate upon completion, even if I see "Full Course, No Certificate?"

  Yes. If you successfully pass the quiz at the end of this course, you'll still receive an official Michigan Sport-Related Training Certificate, even though a related "Full Course, No Certificate" message appears in enrollment. However, an additional Coursera completion certificate will not be issued.

• How often should I take concussion education training?

  We recommend you check with your athletic organization for their specific requirements.  The state legislation for Michigan requires coaches to receive concussion education training every 3 years.
