Introduction to Cloud Identity

• When will I have access to the lectures and assignments?

  Access to lectures and assignments depends on your type of enrollment. If you take a course in audit mode, you will be able to see most course materials for free. To access graded assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience, during or after your audit. If you don't see the audit option:

  • The course may not offer an audit option. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid.

  • The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead. This option lets you see all course materials, submit required assessments, and get a final grade. This also means that you will not be able to purchase a Certificate experience.

• What will I get if I purchase the Certificate?

  When you purchase a Certificate you get access to all course materials, including graded assignments. Upon completing the course, your electronic Certificate will be added to your Accomplishments page - from there, you can print your Certificate or add it to your LinkedIn profile. If you only want to read and view the course content, you can audit the course for free.

• Is financial aid available?

  Yes. In select learning programs, you can apply for financial aid or a scholarship if you can’t afford the enrollment fee. If fin aid or scholarship is available for your learning program selection, you’ll find a link to apply on the description page.

• What is this course's topic?

  This is training for a new Google Cloud product, Cloud IAM (Cloud Identity & Access Management).

• Who is the audience for this course?

  Hopeful and existing system administrators who are: 1) attempting to better understand how a cloud-based Identity Provider (IdP) functions; 2) looking to understand more about using Cloud Identity and how to deploy it within their organization; and 3) tech savvy individuals who are interested in learning more about Google Cloud Identity. Another key audience for the course: architects and implementers of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure who wish to use Cloud Identity to manage their administrative user identities.

• Are there prerequisites for this course?

  -Learner must be ready to purchase a domain or have a pre-existing domain to use

  -Basic understanding of identity management concepts

• Is this course part of a Coursera Specialization?

  Not at this point.

• How is this course different?

  The training will focus on taking a learner through setting up the product for their domain, adding users to their domain, to establishing a basic approach to mobile device management.

• What is the price of this course?

  This course is priced at $49 but learners also have the option to audit the course. Those who audit the course will have full access to the content but not graded assignments or a certificate of completion.

• How often is this course updated and maintained? Can I be sure that I am getting the latest information in this course?

  This course is based off a recently released Google product, so all content is up-to-date. We will be iterating and updating this course as the product changes, and as we receive learner feedback. We will also be adding media and other learning objects as the product matures.

• Which certification does this course help you to prepare for?

  This course doesn’t prepare a learner for any particular certification but it is valuable for expanding your knowledge base and working toward any of our certifications.
